Joey Nicholson, an accomplished musician from Gainesville, GA, is also a minister, author, worship leader, recording artist, and songwriter whose music is touching people throughout the world.

With over 20 years of musical and ministry experience, Joey has become an asset for the modern church. His songs are sung in churches around the world. Joey also teaches worship teams, and ministers at churches, conferences and other venues around the country and abroad.

Song Story – Dirt Road

A couple of years ago, I was contacted by an artist who asked me, “Do you have a song about Dirt Roads? I am doing an album with that title.” I said, no, but I can write one. It happened to be a snowy day in North Georgia (which is rare), so Angela (my wife) and I sat in front of the fire, watching it snow, with my guitar in hand. We began talking about Jesus walking on a dirt road when He made His way to the cross. He walked that road so we can walk ours with Him at our side. We got excited about the words, the song, and even the idea of the dust of life on our own dirt roads. When our path is unclear, or dusty, He always lead us on!
